The death of Noida resident, Twisha Sharma, at her matrimonial home in Bhopal has triggered a major controversy, with her family accusing her husband and in-laws of prolonged mental and physical abuse, dowry harassment and using influence to weaken the investigation.
Twisha, 31, who was around two months pregnant, was found hanging at her home in Bhopal’s Katara Hills area on the night of May 12. She had married Bhopal-based lawyer Samarth Singh, son of retired sessions judge Giribala Singh, in December 2025 after the two met through a dating application in 2024.
